The Island of Ireland: A Living Lab for Tackling the Climate & Biodiversity Crises

Category: Talks & Lectures

Sign up for the All Island Climate & Biodiversity Research Network’s in person event at Riddel Hall, Queen’s University Belfast! Join us on Monday 20th May and Tuesday 21st May to explore The Island of Ireland as a Living Lab for Tackling the Climate and Biodiversity Crises.

On Day One (20th May), we’ll take a bird’s eye view of the climate and biodiversity research and policy landscape across the island, identify synergies and gaps across both jurisdictions, assess what’s working, what’s not working, and what’s needed now to progress towards our vision of Ireland as a living lab for tackling the climate and biodiversity crises.

On Day Two (21st May) we’ll focus on strategic actions. We’ll discuss the specific mechanisms and infrastructure required for the research community to address these interlinked challenges, consider the role AICBRN could play, and explore ideas for future collaborations between members beyond the event.

Learn from experts, network with researchers from a broad range of disciplines, and sow some seeds for active all island collaborations!

Looking forward to seeing you there!
