Launch of a new Challenge Fund to support innovative research at the intersection of climate and health
The Climate and Health Challenge Fund, delivered by The Centre for Net Positive Health and Climate Solutions, will officially launch on 30 March.
This fund supports innovative research, training, engagement and impact activities responding to emerging priorities at the intersection of climate and health.
Scheme A – Seedcorn Projects
- Up to £40,000 per project (80% FEC)
- 3 projects funded per round
- 12-month delivery period (no extensions)
The Fund is seeking interdisciplinary, needs-led projects that:
- Are co-produced with non-academic partners
- Involve meaningful public or community engagement
- Address barriers to action on climate and health
- Advance equity, diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrate academic rigour, feasibility and value for money
Applicable to projects across resilient urban environments, green and blue infrastructure, or food systems.
Eligible lead applicants must a UK Higher Education Institution or eligible research organisation.
