How can we make stronger connections between food, the planet and ourselves?
We need to call on our creativity, compassion and connection to each other to find better solutions to the big food and climate challenges we are all facing.
For 18 months, Brink! has worked to turn a neglected empty site in the centre of Belfast into a thriving space for growing food, creating art, connecting people and showing what’s possible.
The goal of this meanwhile project is to create a space that can demonstrate what can happen when we look at our city differently – how we can connect with it, make it grow, find space to play, experiment and learn.
We invite Belfast Sustainable Food Network and everyone who is interested in good food in Belfast to the Brink! space on Union Street opposite the Sunflower bar, for food, thought and discussion.
We’ll share stories and thoughts on how we achieve a food resilient city. Brink!’s exploration of food challenges and opportunities in the city, ‘We Eat’, will form the basis of the discussions. Find out more about Brink! here
Our Food Connections discussions at Brink! will end with a Food Citizen Social in the Sunflower from 6pm. Join us to celebrate the start of the solstice weekend by being together to share food, ideas and company.
